Unser Beteiligungsworkshop für den Stadtteil

On April 18–19, we invite everyone from the neighborhood to actively shape the future of Dornbuschplatz. The square has already changed in recent months: trees have been planted, parts of the street have been opened up, and space has emerged to gather ideas and make them happen. With professional facilitation, we will explore how seating, greenery, and sunshades can come together to create a welcoming and functional public space. What are the community’s wishes and ideas for the square? Who wants to contribute and take part in shaping it over the long term?

The workshop is open to all: residents, local associations, schools, kindergartens, and neighborhood groups – every perspective counts. Together, we will consider how the square can be used, what structures make sense, and how local engagement can leave a lasting mark. This is more than a discussion about furniture or plants – it’s an opportunity to participate in shaping a public space. Together, we will develop concepts that make the square more inviting and demonstrate how a community can actively create its own future. We look forward to developing ideas, testing concepts, and creating a space that is shaped by the people who use it, enriching the neighborhood and making Dornbuschplatz a place everyone can call their own.

The event is free of charge and will be held in German.

We are a citizens’ initiative in the Dornbusch district of Frankfurt, firmly believing in and working toward the creation of a place for community cohesion in our neighborhood. Currently, we have a core group of around 10 active members and about 20 additional participants who join us for individual activities. We envision a space for gathering, conversation, play, and exchange, for both young and old. We want a place that is open and welcoming to all people in the neighborhood.
