Tomer Dotan-Dreyfus (b. 1987), author, poet, and translator, writes in Hebrew and German. In his long essay “Keinheimisch” (2025), he explores trauma and grief in Gaza and Israel, the nation-state and its ideology, as well as the right to a homeland and its constant failure.

Behzad Karim Khani (b. 1977), writer, screenwriter, columnist, and editor of the newly founded Weltbühne, ran the Lugosi in Berlin-Kreuzberg until 2022. His second novel, “Als wir Schwäne waren” (2024), explores the diaspora as a form of home and the freedom found in being a stranger.

The KLINGSPOR MUSEUM explores the linguistic and cultural multilingualism of our time through an analog aesthetic. With more than 80,000 artist books, posters, tapestries, and calligraphic works, it serves as a living archive representing “matters of text.”

PRÄPOSITION was born as a literary space on the internet and today seeks a multimedia, anti-capitalist presentation of text and language. Its non-profit commitment, as well as the commitment of the OFFENBACH UNIVERSITY OF ART AND DESIGN as a learning space for transdisciplinary artistic and design work, form the enduring imperative that brings this festival to life for the third time: text matters.
