For the European Fête de la Musique, the Instituto Cervantes presents Queralt Lahoz, one of the most exciting voices on the current Spanish music scene. Her work blends traditional and urban influences from Latin America with soul, hip-hop, and dancehall, organically interwoven with coplas and boleros from flamenco.
Born in Santa Coloma near Barcelona to a family from Granada, she explores themes of origin, suburban life, and strong female biographies, thus bridging the gap between past, present, and future. Queralt Lahoz possesses one of the most impressive voices in the scene and is equally adept at singing a classic bolero as she is at rapping in the purest 90s style.
Free admission
Note: In case of bad weather, the concert will take place in the hall of the Instituto Cervantes.
Organizers: ICEX, Sounds from Spain & Instituto Cervantes.
