- LED Wall Live Coding Workshop
NODE Forum for Digital Arts
...
During this workshop we explore how to create a collective, interactive video wall using six LED panels. Each panel (60×60 pixels) is driven by participants using p5.js.
The workshop includes an introduction to creative coding with p5.js and web technologies. Starting from simple visuals, we'll make our panels respond to audio, the environment, and potentially each other — building up to a collective visual performance.
Participants learn the basics of generative visuals in p5.js and write little sketches that react to live audio (FFT / amplitude). Their sketches are then deployed to six 60×60 px LED panels (60×60 cm each) installed at a visible spot on the festival site. Each participant gets time on a panel; final patches stay running for the rest of the festival as a collective installation.
Please bring: Own laptop, charger, headphones (optional).
