Making lanterns for families

Come and make your own lantern with us, or carve your Halloween pumpkin! All craft enthusiasts, young and old, are invited to create colourful lanterns, candle holders and spookily beautiful pumpkins.

Craft materials will be provided. Please feel free to bring along empty Tetra Paks or clean jam jars – we’ll turn them into lanterns and candle holders.

For five weeks, the former McDonald’s on Ludwigsplatz will be transformed into an open cultural hub. Workshops, talks, music and exhibitions will alternate with open spaces for people to get involved and socialise. Instead of standing empty, the space will be a place for encounters, exchange and new ideas, right in the heart of Darmstadt city centre.
