For the Frankfurter Kunstverein, artist and activist Oguz Sen and performer and choreographer Honji Wang have collaboratively developed a participatory work at the intersection of drawing and performance.
La La Land – Aufhören anzufangen is conceived as an open system, sustained by collective participation and continuous transformation. Over several weeks, a large-scale mural emerges within the exhibition Hidden History, developed collaboratively by different groups. In parallel, Sen and Wang are creating a performance together with students from the Rudolf Koch Schule Offenbach and the dancers Caterina Politi and Marco Di Nardo, activating the space. Without a fixed choreography, movement arises from presence, encounter, and situation.
The Frankfurter Kunstverein is an interdisciplinary exhibition space for contemporary art and culture. Here, an inquisitive public encounters exhibitions that engage the senses and discovers new perspectives on our present.
The project partner is the Diamant Museum for Urban Culture, Offenbach, which engages with historical and contemporary positions of subversive and subcultural activity in the Frankfurt Rhine Main region.
