In Schaufenstern entlang der Brauchbachstraße

The residents of Braubachstraße play a key role in ‘critical ceramics’. The focus is on family heirlooms made of porcelain, which, with their very personal histories, lend the festival a special warmth and an interactive character.

The objects are displayed in shop windows along Braubachstraße. Passers-by can use QR codes to discover the stories behind them and thus get to know the people who have shaped the street over the years.

Some of the objects, such as the promotional figurine from the Sarotti company pictured here, have lost their originally claimed innocence over time and as a result of social discourse, and have literally mutated into critical ceramics.
