Zeichenakademie Hanau

...

ErlebBar is an intergenerational workshop for families with children aged 5–12. It explores how cultural heritage can be experienced together, preserved, and passed on to future generations.

Participants—children, parents, and accompanying adults—collect personal stories, memories, and everyday experiences. These are shared, reflected upon, and developed into common values that strengthen connections between generations. The workshop creates a space for exchange, storytelling, and discovering shared perspectives across age groups.

In the hands-on part of the workshop, participants work in teams to design and create a handcrafted keepsake. This object symbolizes togetherness and makes the jointly developed ideas tangible. The creative process combines dialogue, reflection, and craftsmanship, fostering collaboration and mutual understanding.

It will take place in person on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The workshop is aimed at adults with children and is free of charge. Places are limited. Registration closes on June 7, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

The Family Academy of the Kathinka-Platzhoff Foundation is an educational center for all generations. It is a place where diversity is experienced, knowledge is shared, and the future is shaped together.

The Zeichenakademie in Hanau is a vocational education and training institution for creative craftsmanship in goldsmithing, silversmithing, metal design, engraving, and gemstone setting.
