Rethinking Health – Developing Solutions Together
Health concerns us all. It shapes our well-being, our quality of life and the sense of community in our city. Through the Mein Gesundes Wiesbaden project, we are making prevention visible, tangible and something we can shape together – right here in our local area. This workshop focuses on the question of how programmes to encourage more physical activity among older people can be designed in such a way that they deliver tangible benefits.
Have your say. Help shape it. Get involved.
The foundation is provided by qualitative interviews conducted by Master’s students from the “Social Work” programme at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and quantitative surveys carried out by Master’s students from the “Healthcare Management” programme at Wiesbaden Business School. These have identified challenges relating to the topic of “more physical activity for older people” in the Biebrich district, for which new solutions will be developed through a participatory process.
Following a joint kick-off on 23 October 2026 from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm at WerkRaum, you will work in small groups all day on 24 October 2026 using the Design Thinking method to develop practical solutions directly on site. These will be presented as part of the “My Healthy Wiesbaden” action day on Sunday 25 October 2026.
The local partner is Nachbarschaftshaus Wiesbaden e.V.
Get involved, because your experiences matter and your ideas make a difference.
At the same time, on 24 October 2026, Design Thinking workshops will be held on the following topics:
• Loneliness among older people in the Eigenheim neighbourhood
• Healthy eating among children and young people in the Klarenthal district
Participation in the Design Thinking workshop is free of charge. You can register via the following link: https://share-eu1.hsforms.com/1xoe37vtNRgCxw515bv8Euw2epg4s
Space is limited, and participation is subject to confirmation by the organizer.
The Institute for Universal Design sees itself as a facilitator of participatory processes and is convinced that the diverse challenges of our time can only be addressed through network-oriented strategies.
