Über den Tellerrand Frankfurt e.V.
...
In May and June 2026, Über den Tellerrand will host a two-month container program called Kitchen on the Run on Gustavsburgstraße in Gallus—in cooperation with Caritas Quartiersmanagement Gallus as part of Frankfurt’s Active Neighborhood program.
The container opening will mark the festive launch of the two-month program and will serve as a collaboration between Über den Tellerrand Frankfurt e.V., the WDC Stammtisch, and the founders of the Kitchen on the Run kitchen container.
The blue kitchen container is the heart of the project and will turn ten years old in 2026, so we’re also celebrating its 10th anniversary! In addition to the Frankfurt Über den Tellerrand community, the founders of the 2016 kitchen container and former Kitchen on the Run companions will also be in attendance.
We’re looking forward to an open picnic where everyone who comes brings something to share! During the picnic, you can casually chat about the container project and its founding history, past Kitchen on the Run trips, and stories...
We’ll start at 12:30 p.m., and the official opening will take place at 1:00 p.m. with a short ceremony and remarks from the founders. After that, the social gathering will take its course with drinks, food, music, good conversation, and stories about 10 years of Kitchen on the Run and 10 years of Über den Tellerrand Frankfurt e.V.
We also plan to prepare a small snack via show cooking in the container and offer a few drinks for everyone. We ask everyone to bring their own food to share as well.
Since 2015, Über den Tellerrand Frankfurt e.V. has been promoting sustainable integration through community-building activities such as cooking together and fostering mutual exchange.
The Frankfurt Active Neighborhood Program (Caritasverband Frankfurt e.V., Gallus Neighborhood Management) works to improve housing and living conditions and strengthen social cohesion in 20 neighborhoods across Frankfurt.
