Climatewalk at the Anlagenring with Dr. Julia Krohmer (Senckenberg Nature Research Society, Scientists for Future) and Prof. Dr. Daniele Santucci (Climateflux, RWTH Aachen University).
During the summer semester, the “Dialog Architektur” series will take place in cooperation with the Friends of the German Architecture Museum. Together, we aim to explore the interrelated themes of democracy and the city. The series is part of the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 initiative and will feature discussions on the relationship between democracy and the city. This raises the question: How do we want to live together in the city of tomorrow? What approaches are needed, who should be involved, and what qualities will define the city of tomorrow? We also ask ourselves, of course, what conditions must be in place to make a city like Frankfurt a “city for all”? How can this be achieved in a major city located in one of Europe’s most densely populated metropolitan areas?
As part of this series, we aim to explore pathways toward a city that is designed more for people and less for economic and growth-oriented goals or transportation objectives. How can social demands, land policy, requirements for public space, the mobility transition, and demands for urban biodiversity be reconciled with the contradictions of the planning industry? How can all of this be linked to the overarching theme of building culture? It’s about the future of the city: in Europe, in the Rhine-Main region, and in Frankfurt.
The seminar series is a continuing education event recognized by the AKH. Each seminar is worth 2 continuing education credits. You will receive a certificate of participation after the event concludes.
