Frankfurter KunstSäule – Kuratoren Florian Koch und Daniel Hartlaub

Frankfurt artist Charlotte Schröner and Darmstadt artist Andrea Ludwig have been painting heads in a joint project for several years. Using acrylic on corrugated cardboard, they create brightly coloured images in A4 format that represent not only individuals but society as a whole.

The heads are inspired by people, images of people, comics, anything that has a head. All works originate in the mind; similarities to contemporaries such as John Lennon, John F. Kennedy or Angela Merkel are sometimes recognisable, but not necessarily intentional. The diversity and community of individuals shown here refers to a guiding principle of democracy and participation.

Special event:

Philipp Mosetter, an author and actor living in Frankfurt and Vienna, will present a literary collage on the theme of heads at the edge of the Köpfe-KunstSäule.
