On this urban sketching tour, we will explore Frankfurt's monuments and places of remembrance culture accompanied by a city guide.

Urban space is constantly changing, and in Frankfurt in particular, construction sites and structural changes are part of everyday life. In the new old town, the question arises as to what historical buildings actually exist and what is considered worth preserving. Examples of places of remembrance include the ‘Zug der Volksvertreter’ (Procession of the People's Representatives) at St. Paul's Church, the ‘Frankfurter Engel’ (Frankfurt Angel) at Konstablerwache and the Neuer Börneplatz memorial. We will draw directly on site, capturing what moves us and thus answering the question: what do we want to remember, what must we remember?
