The Art of Protest (Intermediate)

In The Art of Protest (Intermediate), performance artists ASJA and Jonathan Schmidt-Colinet invite participants to engage in a playful experiment with theatrical means and forms of protest.

They create an open space for the development of participants' own protest projects. People of all ages from the Rhine-Main area can find a communal framework for their concerns here over a period of two months, exchange ideas, and try out approaches to public expression using artistic techniques. Whether through flyers, graphic design, objects, voice, or the use of body and movement... the possibilities for intervention are endless!

The project is a continuation of “The Art of Protest (Beginners)” which took place over 6 months at the Implantieren.Festival 2022_23. However, no prior knowledge is required to participate in the upcoming edition at World Design Capital 2026 – just a desire for artistic experimentation, continuous exchange, and your own concerns.

The Art of Protest remains a place where racism, sexism, queerphobia, and anti-Semitism have no place.
