MFA – Material für Alle

Since the end of 2019, MFA has been the central platform in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region through which materials from the arts and cultural sector are given a new life. MFA passes on materials for at most half of their original price, thereby saving them from disposal.

Artists, designers, and WDC 2026 projects benefit from these resources—creatively, sustainably, and cost-effectively. Through reuse, participation, and resource conservation, MFA promotes a sustainable cultural practice and strengthens democratic values through cross-disciplinary collaboration.

As part of our WDC Academy: Planning and Implementing with Responsibility, Felix Große-Lohmann presented the initiative, which will be active during WDC 2026 to support projects in implementing sustainable practices.
