Material für Alle (MFA) is an organisation dedicated to sustainable material cycles and represents an innovative organisational model that not only advocates for, but actively practices, a sustainable and resource-conscious circular economy.
Since the end of 2019, the organisation has ensured the reuse of high-quality surplus materials from the trade fair, commercial, construction, and cultural sectors that are no longer needed.
By reducing disposal costs, MFA provides financial relief for material donors from these industries. At the same time, the materials are made accessible for artists, designers, and exhibition architecture projects of cultural institutions, allowing them to re-enter the economic cycle as creatively reusable and affordable second-hand materials.
As a result, all actors involved in this alternative value chain benefit. Reusable materials are treated as valuable resources and are no longer disposed of at high cost after a single use.
On this day, Material für Alle will open its doors and offer a glimpse into its work.
Since late 2019, MFA – Material für Alle has been the hub for the reuse of materials from the art and cultural scene in Frankfurt RheinMain.
Additionally, MFA – Material Für Alle is pleased to present, for the first time during Open – Design Week, works by artist Nik Geene that were developed on-site using materials from the MFA’s collection during their long-standing collaboration.
