HfG Offenbach mit Geschichtswerkstatt Offenbach, studio pari-pari

On May 22, 1933, a public book burning by the National Socialists took place at Schlossplatz in Offenbach. This event was supported by students and teachers of the Technical Schools, the predecessor institution of HfG.

To ensure this wrongdoing is not forgotten and to critically engage with current regressive, right-wing, and fascist tendencies, the Ag Politics Day at HfG is taking action. In a design workshop, so-called “history imprints” will be captured in the Offenbach urban space and artistically processed. The Geschichtswerkstatt Offenbach offers insights into the places and events of 1933–1945 through the “Antifascist City Tour.”

Studio pari–pari, Marina Kampka, and Lena Schrieb facilitate an artistic engagement with the city-stamp project. Using a clay stamp, workshop participants can capture structures, letters, or shapes and artistically print them with stamping ink. Complementing this, an exhibition, a lecture series, and a publication are planned. A one-day workshop will also take place for the book launch.
