Urban Now Lab Actionday II
The Urban Now Lab invites you to discover urban spaces as open, adaptable real-world laboratories full of opportunities. It’s all about exploring together:
How do we want to live, work, and interact?
At Actionday II on February 20th, the focus is on urban transformations: the Lyoner Quartier in Frankfurt, evolving from an “office city” into a future-oriented neighborhood, and the Zeil as a symbol of the transformation of German city centers. A symposium with international and local speakers will be combined with co-creative Urban Now workshops.
Residents, associations, and stakeholders from real estate, business, crafts, industry, and retail sectors, as well as other communities, creative professionals (communication, digital, product, spatial design), urban planning groups, clubs, and NGOs are all invited. Our goal is to develop new approaches for shared urban spaces and to pool resources to shape the city.
The Urban Now Lab is the placemaking platform of the DDC within the framework of World Design Capital 2026.
The Actionday is supported by the Hessian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport, Housing, and Rural Development.
