- StopfBar – Kleidung gemeinsam reparieren #3
Dreh Dein Ding
...
The StopfBar invites you to take control of this yourself. Together, we learn how to patch, darn and use the techniques of visible mending. Repairs don’t have to be invisible: with a bit of creativity, they can become a special detail and give a garment a new character.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sewer, there’s plenty of scope here to experiment, ask questions and learn from one another. We share knowledge, support one another and discover just how easy it can be to make clothes last longer.
As well as practical repair techniques, it’s all about community, sharing ideas and the joy of doing things yourself. Damaged areas often yield surprisingly beautiful results – and a small repair can quickly lead to a whole new relationship with your own belongings.
True to the name ‘StopfBar’, there’ll be a selection of drinks and snacks on offer – we look forward to seeing you!
Feel free to bring along any clothes that need repairing. Together, we’ll give your favourite pieces a second life.
Further dates: 26.08. und 30.09.
‘Dreh Dein Ding’ is an initiative by Circular Citizens of Wiesbaden that promotes repair, reuse and the circular economy in the city. The StopfBar takes place on the last Wednesday of every month at Kunstraum E14, led by Birgit Reimann (tagtraum-tragen) and Jan-Micha Gamer (jm design studio).
