Online-Fortbildung "KInspiration – KI und Design"
Stiftung Deutsches Design Museum
As part of the professional development program for teachers, the concept of the design workshop of the same name, intended for students from grade 8 onwards across all types of schools, is presented for implementation at school.
In the workshop, students engage with AI, design thinking, and social design. Students are empowered to explore social issues and develop feasible solutions (within the school context) using an AI-supported design thinking process – from problem definition and idea development to prototyping and implementation strategies. This includes the basics and possible applications of text- and image-based AI, creative prompt crafting, and a reflective, critical approach to working with AI.
Participants in the professional development program are introduced to the accompanying teaching guide of “KInspiration” and take part in a condensed version of the workshop program.
Educators receive a fully developed, field-tested, and interdisciplinary workshop concept that supports them in making school life more engaging and in integrating relevant topics into everyday school practice. Through the professional development program and the teaching guide, teachers are enabled to independently facilitate the workshop.
In general, it is helpful if participants already have some initial experience with AI tools or have tried them out beforehand. The professional development program does not cover the technical functioning of individual AI systems.
The non-profit German Design Museum Foundation strengthens the role of design as a shaping force for future-oriented education and society and is committed to fostering design competence as a key qualification for social participation and forward-looking action.
The project is funded by the PwC Foundation.
