Our economy has a utilization problem. Design can change this by creating products for multiple lifecycles instead of short-term use. The circular economy begins with conception and design, not with recycling. Keeping resources in the loop creates both ecological and economic value. For me, the crucial question is therefore: how often can an object be meaningfully used? Not who owns it.
