Missy Magazine

(un)deutsch – The podcast nobody asked for, but exists anyway! Ayesha Khan and Dîlan Karacadağ discuss all the social, cultural, and political topics on their minds – always with a nod and a wink. This time, the conversation touches on feminism in the cultural and podcasting sectors, among other themes.

Dîlan Karacadağ is a journalist, podcaster, and political advisor. Since 2014, her journalistic work has focused on Kurdistan, migration, racism, anti-feminism, the politics of memory, and human rights. For many years, she was an editor for a Kurdish-German daily newspaper and has published articles across various media outlets. Together with Ayesha Khan, she hosts the podcast (un)deutsch. She is also co-founder of the Ferhat Unvar Educational Initiative (Bildungsinitiative Ferhat Unvar) and co-author of the anthology Damit wir atmen können. Kritische Perspektiven auf den rassistischen Anschlag von Hanau (“So That We Can Breathe: Critical Perspectives on the Racist Attack in Hanau”).

Ayesha Khan is a freelance journalist, author, podcaster, and political educator based in Frankfurt am Main. Since 2006, her work as a journalist has centered on anti-feminism, racism, (post-)colonialism, as well as displacement and migration. She writes for publications including Missy Magazine and analyse & kritik, authored the column Der Khan-Report in nd, and co-authored the anthologies Frenemies and Trigger Warnung. Alongside Dîlan Karacadağ, she co-hosts the podcast (un)deutsch and hosts Zwischenräume, a podcast by the Frankfurt Women's Affairs Office (Frauenreferat Frankfurt).

Panel: Awareness in Club Culture
Awareness teams can now be found at almost every event – including this one. But what is awareness actually, and why is it needed? What can it achieve, and where does it fall short? Where do awareness concepts hit their limits? A discussion on safer spaces and how to feel comfortable while partying.

Lilav Horo is a social worker, promoter, and DJ who has been performing under the name Lil.v for around eight years. In 2020, she founded the event series get busy in Kiel, intentionally aiming to create spaces free from white, cis-male structures and offering a platform primarily for BIPoC and FLINTA* artists. Through her many years of work in self-organised collectives, she gained extensive experience in event production, sound/tech, and developing awareness concepts. From mid-2024 to late 2025, she was part of the team behind ccbb (cremant cava booty bounce) in Frankfurt.

Cansu Şahin has lived and worked in Frankfurt since 2015. She advocates for discrimination-sensitive and safer spaces across various settings – including the club and event scene, theatre, and youth work. She merges awareness work with political education, focusing on intersectional experiences of discrimination, empowerment, community, and migrant self-determination. She conveys these core topics through workshops and educational formats, facilitates discrimination-sensitive processes, and curates events with the aim of creating spaces where people feel safe, look out for one another, and interact with mutual respect.

German-Peruvian Killa Schuetze is based in Berlin and Frankfurt. She works at the intersection of art, club culture, and social transformation. Through RICE, she develops concepts for discrimination-sensitive cultural work, guiding institutions and events in creating safe, supportive, and inclusive spaces. In her artistic practice, she explores body, ritual, resilience, and decolonial perspectives. Regardless of the context, her work and projects consistently revolve around the same core questions: How do community, responsibility, and care emerge? How do power dynamics shape our relationships and spaces? And how can we create conditions that enable connection, self-determination, and transformation? For her, art, cultural work, and life are not separate spheres, but different expressions of the same inquiry.
