The In-Between – New Approaches to Politics and Citizenship
What stands in the way of a genuine encounter between citizens and politicians—and how could it succeed? The project Das Dazwischen (The In-Between) explored this question over the course of a multi-month design process. Together with citizens, members of parliament, and experts from academia and communication practice, key challenges were identified and used to develop concrete prototypes for new forms of dialogue.
On August 22, from 14:00 to 17:00, Gestaltungszentrale Politik e.V. and Raamwerk e.V. invite you to get to know these prototypes, try them out for yourself, and jointly discuss what is already working and where further development is needed.
Gestaltungszentrale Politik e.V. is a non-profit organisation at the intersection of society, politics, and design. We develop new ways of working within political processes and explore how design can make political decision-making more transparent, comprehensible, and dialogic. In collaboration with political actors, researchers, and professional designers, we create transferable formats for a modern democratic design culture.
Raamwerk is an interdisciplinary studio and non-profit organization operating at the intersection of art, social impact, and commerce. The collective designs new frameworks for encounters in public spaces and develops participatory formats that make social transformation a tangible experience. In collaboration with citizens, local authorities, academia, and the creative sector, they create interventions, workshops, and campaigns to foster a vibrant, sustainable, and participatory democratic culture.
