On Sunday, June 7, 2026, the closing of the exhibition “Annegret Soltau. VATERSUCHE” will be celebrated with two special highlights.

Prof. Petra Gehring (Center for Responsible Digitalization and Institute of Philosophy at TU Darmstadt) will deliver the keynote address “On Searching,” and artist Baldur Greiner will read from his biography “Ich war total suchend,” which he wrote about his wife Annegret Soltau.

Annegret Soltau is one of the most significant contemporary feminist artists. Since the 1970s, she has explored questions of personal and social identity, reflecting on her position as a woman within the structure of her own family. The exhibition focuses on two major series by the artist: the series “Vatersuche” (1988–present) and the complete, never-before-shown series of “Tagesdiagramme” from 1977. Both series invite visitors to explore them page by page—like an artist’s book extending into the space.
