We’ll explore urban nature by bike in the Kranichstein high-rise neighborhood and visit the Martinsviertel and Oberfeld districts, where the construction of highways was prevented only by citizen protests.

“Thistles in Concrete – Social Ride” is the second of three guided bike tours, on which we invite you to discover Darmstadt’s hidden places, projects, and perspectives.

Despite covering 16 km this social ride isn’t primarily focused on fitness level or equipment, but rather on curiosity and the joy of cycling collectively. Be sure to bring a helmet. If your bike has technical issues, let us know and stop by our weekly hands-on workshop.

Disteln im Beton – Social Ride is the second of three guided cycle tours, on which we invite you to discover Darmstadt’s hidden spots, projects and perspectives.

We, RSV Pumpe Darmstadt e. V., are primarily committed to making cycling more accessible and actively promote diversity and equality in our sport and beside. The project “Making the invisible tangible” offers an opportunity to connect local partners through cycling.
