Guest: Irina Denkmann with the project “Handle with Care!”
Irina Denkmann presents a collection of artworks from “Handle with Care”, which explore the family archive as a space of personal and collective memory. This collection travels in a single suitcase – and has already visited fourteen cities and eleven countries.
The afternoon will focus on meditation and group discussion: guests at the salon are invited not only to view the works, but also to actively engage in dialogue with them – about family histories, about what we keep and what is lost, about memory as a political and deeply personal practice.
About the exhibition
Handle with Care is a travelling exhibition accompanied by a series of meditations. A seemingly ordinary suitcase carries six artistic projects inspired by family archives – created in collaboration with the artists Lilit Matevosyan, Gulshat Gubaidullina, V-L-V-SH-M-D, Vladimir Seleznev and Katya Selezneva.
Practical information
The Salon thrives on shared meals. Please feel free to bring something to eat or drink – and do come along with a friend. The more perspectives, the richer the conversation.
Free entry. Everyone is welcome.
