keinStil.GmbH realises keinstilraum as an open working and exhibition format in the field of interior architecture and spatial design. The focus lies on working with existing spatial structures and a process-oriented approach to material and context.
The starting point is the photographic series Fotometrie I – Measuring a City by Benedikt Seemann. Over five years, the work investigates the urban environment of Frankfurt-Höchst as a layered context between history, industry and everyday life, focusing on overlooked structures and in-between spaces.
The keinstilraum forms the spatial framework of the presentation and also serves as a working environment. It is intentionally kept open. In parallel, keinStil develops a site-specific spatial installation on site, emerging directly from engagement with space, existing structures and material conditions.
Design is understood as a practical, process-driven engagement with space. Environments are seen as adaptable structures that evolve through use and intervention.
The project connects a photographic investigation of the urban context with the spatial practice of interior architecture within the open framework of keinstilraum.
The project is initiated by keinStil.GmbH, an interior architecture and spatial design studio focused on working with existing structures and a process-driven approach to making.
As part of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026, the project is realised in collaboration with Benedikt Seemann in the context of Frankfurt-Höchst.
It brings together photographic investigation and spatial practice.
