1. Bauworkshop
Bürgerstiftung Offenbach
Within the framework of promoting democracy, 'Diesterwegs Beet Mobile' empowers Diesterweg families and their neighbors to get involved in their community. The project is built on sustainable, relationship-based learning and the power of 'learning by doing,' fostering participation for everyone in Offenbach. These mobile green spots boost biodiversity and revitalize the local surroundings. Caring for the plants together encourages exchange between generations and neighbors. Through this hands-on work, people develop a sense of self-efficacy and a deeper connection to their community.
On September 19 and 26, people of all ages will come together to construct, paint, and plant the mobile beds. Guided by Janina Albrecht and Freht Berger, participants handle every step themselves. The heart of the project is collective action—shaping the world around us and being active, self-reliant members of society.
The event is primarily intended for Diesterweg families of the 6th generation. Guest participation for the purpose of knowledge exchange is possible and welcome. Anyone interested is invited to get in touch at: dws@buergstiftung-offenbach.de
Since 2015, the Bürgerstiftung Offenbach’s DWS program has supported children transitioning to secondary school. The scholarship fosters talent despite educational barriers and empowers parents as educational partners—a family-centered program focused on relational learning.
Using the tools of product design, Studio Janina Albrecht creates climate-resilient mobility, urban greenery, and public spaces.
