Designing a more active patient role in Public Health Services
Co-Design für eine aktivere Patient:innenrolle (1)
Designinstitut für Gesunde Gestaltung
Building on a series of workshops in clinics and other healthcare facilities designed to identify problem areas and challenges, this participatory format takes a closer look at the challenges and solutions relating to the role of patients in the healthcare system.
The aim of the project is to use creative measures at various levels to promote health literacy and strengthen healthcare provision on an equal footing. Together, we want to deepen our understanding of these design challenges and develop initial solutions for a more active and empowered patient role. To this end, anyone interested can exchange thoughts, questions and experiences on posters and work together to develop initial concepts using simple materials at co-design stations. We also want to engage in dialogue and discuss the potential of design for addressing social problems such as those in the healthcare system. We will then process the results and feed the findings back to the public and the professional discourse via podcast episodes, lectures, the project website and handouts.
