Submit your project idea
You can submit your own project idea to our Open Call 2024 from 20 June 2024 to 31 October 2024 – either on your own or together with others. Our team will provide you with information and advice during our Design for Democracy consultation hours and at events, online and in the Frankfurt RheinMain region. An interdisciplinary panel of experts will support us in the selection process.

Participate in a project
Design for Democracy is an interactive and communicative platform that connects people and strengthens design ideas. With the Open Call 2024, from 20 June to 31 October 2024 we invite you to get in touch with us if you want to accompany projects in their development and participate in various formats. So even if you don't have your own idea yet, you can become part of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026.

Develop your project with us
We are designing joint projects and formats for the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 programme. With the Open Call 2024 from 20 June to 31 October 2024, we are looking for ongoing projects, launched initiatives and planned events that can take place in cooperation with us. Our main focus is on the year 2026, but we can already team up on the way there.

Become a local host
World Design Capital 2026 will take place in the Frankfurt RheinMain region. With the Open Call 2024 from 20 June 2024 to 31 October 2024, we are looking for spaces and locations. Get in touch with us if you can provide such a space or location or if you would like to develop it as a host together with us. Our main focus is on the year 2026, but we also need suitable spaces and locations on the way there.

World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 is currently funded by the State of Hesse, the City of Frankfurt am Main and the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain. The more committed people, initiatives and companies get involved and support the programme, the more promising, forward-looking and effective ideas can be implemented. With the Open Call 2024 from 20 June to 31 October 2024 we are looking for supporters who will contribute their expertise, experience or financial resources to become part of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026.
