Offenbach city centre is changing: Between the familiar and new ideas, spaces are emerging that demonstrate how the city centre can be designed – vibrant, collaborative and creative.

For WDC 2026, four projects stand out: Station Mitte, SCAPE°, Rathaus-Pavillon, and urban greening — showing how the city is creating new opportunities for community, creativity, and uses.

Station Mitte will be a living room for all: the new city library in the former Galeria Kaufhof invites visitors to linger, learn, and explore. The renovated Rathaus-Pavillon will become a vibrant urban hub with dining, retail, and cultural offerings. SCAPE°. Wetter. Klima. Mensch is an interactive exhibition space on climate and environment—free and open to everyone.

Urban greening links open spaces into a green corridor, improving quality of stay and creating climate-friendly areas. 

Coordinated by Agentur Mitte of Offenbach’s Economic Development Office, these projects are realized together with city offices, associations, experts, artists, and citizens: shaping a lovable city center together.
