Tage des Exils 2026

The Days of Exile is a public-oriented programme of events and encounters. It provides a platform for people in exile, builds bridges between the present and the past, and encourages dialogue and understanding between old and new citizens, thereby contributing to greater cohesion in the city.

Many partners regularly contribute to a wide range of events: The offerings range from exhibitions, concerts, lectures, encounters, readings and panel discussions to theatre and film screenings.

In 2026, the German Exile Archive 1933–1945 of the German National Library will organise the Days of Exile for the second time after 2022, together with the Körber Foundation. They will take place from August 20 to September 6 in Frankfurt am Main.
