...
Das Neue Frankfurt was a modernist laboratory defined by its functional and sufficient floor plans. As part of the project, architecture students from the University of Siegen are working in groups to develop an interactive ground floor game.
This game will enable residents of the neighbourhood and visitors to the exhibition to design their own ideal floor plans using a variety of rooms from Das Neue Frankfurt. This is based on the modularity of the rooms, allowing the historical room modules to be combined in various ways. Selected projects will be exhibited in May as part of the New Neues Frankfurt exhibition at the mayhaus, where the winning project will be announced. The realisation of the awarded project will be funded and presented during the Open – Design Week Frankfurt RheinMain, where it will be made available to exhibition visitors to participate in.
