Stiftung Buchkunst
The Stiftung Buchkunst (Book Art Foundation) has been supporting German book production for 60 years. This anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate the importance of book art and highlight its relevance. At the same time, it aims to strengthen the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region as a centre for book art.
The exhibition has several objectives: Firstly, it aims to highlight the aesthetic and technical significance of books and showcase the development of book design over the last 60 years. Secondly, it aims to raise awareness among visitors of all ages of the cultural relevance and diversity of book design. Thirdly, the exhibition provides a platform for exchange and creativity by bringing together experts and the general public. Design and publishing experts, students and young designers are involved, providing new impetus in talks and workshops. Anyone interested can visit the exhibition and immerse themselves in the world of book design.
The curatorial planning includes a selection of award-winning books from the last 60 years, chosen by various groups of people. The spatial design showcases the history and future of book design. Programme items such as talks and workshops offer in-depth insights.
The Stiftung Buchkunst (Book Art Foundation) is a foundation under civil law established in 1966 and based in Frankfurt am Main and Leipzig. It supports German book production with the aim of promoting the quality of books in terms of both technical and design aspects.
