How has the Stiftung Buchkunst (Foundation for Book Art) evolved since its founding in 1966, and how has book design changed over the decades? Drawing on items from the exhibition, Uta Schneider (Managing Director of the Stiftung Buchkunst, 2000–2012) and Ralf de Jong (Professor of Typography at the Folkwang University of the Arts, Essen) join Birte Kreft (current Managing Director of the Stiftung Buchkunst) to discuss the foundation’s history, its ongoing development, and the books that have shaped this process. An open conversation about design, institutions, and the stories books tell.
