A former Kaufhof department store at the market square in Hanau is being transformed into a modern centre for retail, culture and education: the Stadthof Hanau will offer 16,000 square metres of space for exchange and events, inspired by the ancient agora. The listed building is set to breathe new life into the city centre and become a central hub for the people of Hanau.
