Development of a green, inner-city refuge including an intercultural garden to enhance Wiesbaden’s city centre, creating new living spaces in previously unused “non-places”.
The StadtGarten offers peace and relaxation from the hectic hustle and bustle amidst a beautiful natural landscape, yet it serves not only as a meeting point but also as a place of communal productivity. It is a growing, low-threshold project in which families, members, and volunteers of all cultures and ages can come together—gardening, beekeeping, at cultural festivals, readings, theatre performances, for the self-produced greenhouse table—becoming active together. The StadtGarten is a central location for joint, accessible and caring efforts to reduce the CO₂ footprint and to support the long-term growing together of different cultures.
The team consists of the architects from 3deluxe. The project stems from their own initiative with the aim of making a positive contribution to the development of Wiesbaden’s city centre.
