They are an established institution of debate culture in Germany. The Römerberggespräche in Frankfurt am Main have been held in unbroken succession since 1973. In terms of their organization, their tradition, and their reach, they are comparable to almost no other discussion series in Germany.
They are expert conversations for an engaged urban public: scholars, essayists, and artists discuss the political, cultural, and intellectual issues of society in lectures, dialogues, and panel discussions. They present important research findings and offer perspectives on future developments.
The Römerberggespräche e.V. is a registered association.
The chairman of the board is Prof. Dr. Miloš Vec. The managing director is Ingrid Rudolph.
