OPEN DANCE
Dexterous Music Collective
The “Open Dance” Project is an invitation to celebrate, create, and take responsibility together — collectively, openly, with low barriers to access, and free from commercial pressures. As part of the program for the World Design Capital 2026, the project aims to showcase how club culture can serve as a platform for community, participation, and creative expression.
The vision: People united by a shared love of electronic music come together and get involved — musically, organizationally, or simply through their presence on the dancefloor. This creates a temporary space where new encounters can happen, social responsibility is shared, and club culture becomes visible as an integral part of a vibrant urban culture.
Several elements of the two-event series are designed to be open and participatory: The musical lineup can be influenced in advance via online voting. Those interested can also volunteer — for example, helping at the entrance, the bar, or as part of the awareness team. At the entrance, guests will be invited to support the project with a voluntary donation for the artists.
The goal is to establish this collaborative model as a lasting part of the club scene. “Open Dance” sees itself as a blueprint for a culture of solidarity and creativity — shaping cultural spaces together.
