The VDID e.V. is planning a two-day event on the topic of The transformative power of design. Design is transformation: from products to societies

The event takes up the leitmotif of Design for Democracy. The focus is on the role of industrial design, product design and UX design as drivers of social transformation. 

The aim is to raise awareness of design as a field of sustainability, innovation and democratic values, and to develop future prospects for training and practice.

Design has an impact that goes far beyond the creation of objects. Industrial design, product design and UX design are key drivers of social change. They determine how we interact with technologies, how sustainable solutions are integrated into everyday life and how values are made visible and tangible in products and processes. Design makes a decisive contribution to the future viability of democratic societies. 

The VDID e.V. has been representing professional industrial designers in Germany since 1959. It promotes dialogue between design, business, politics, culture and education.

The association offers a platform for exchange and networking as well as numerous services and support.

It promotes interdisciplinary cooperation and strengthens the importance of design for business and society.
