Designing Transitions – Tagung für intermodales Mobilitätsdesign
Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main, OIMD – Offenbach Institute of Mobility Design
Designing transfers, connecting systems, communicating mobility in an understandable way.
The conference is part of the InterMoDe research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). The focus is on how user-centred design can enable seamless transitions between modes of transport and strengthen the acceptance of integrated mobility services.
The research project and conference are dedicated to the challenge of making the urban mobility system sustainable, inclusive and user-friendly. The focus is less on new services and more on better linking existing ones: how do we connect what is already in operation?
The aim of the project is to make walking, cycling and public transport more comfortable and to link them together in a meaningful way. It examines how stops, rental stations, information and guidance systems, and digital mobility services can be designed to be easy, safe and pleasant to use for everyone.
We have invited experts from science, practice, politics and business to discuss the research results. We will also be presenting our third publication, Mobility Design – Shaping the Future of Mobility (Volume 3: Transfer).
In the morning, you can expect presentations and lectures, and in the afternoon, application-oriented workshops – including a mobility walk and a discussion on the role of visions of the future for new mobility.
Participation is free of charge. Due to the limited number of tickets, a waiting list will be maintained, which may also allow for participation at short notice.
The conference is being held as part of InterMoDe, a research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). The City of Offenbach and the Offenbach Institute for Mobility Design at HFG Offenbach are cooperation partners in this research project. The conference itself will take place at HFG Offenbach.
