Design Thinking in Aktion
December 2026
Stiftung Deutsches Design Museum
In 2026, the German Design Museum Foundation offers various free design workshops for schools, led by professional designers. In this workshop students explore design thinking, social and environmental sustainability, and social design.
The workshop Design Thinking in Action introduces students aged 14 and up to the design thinking process, enabling them to identify social and environmental challenges, develop creative solutions, and implement them within their school or local community.
By providing appropriate tools, we empower students to take responsibility for themselves and their environment and to actively shape their surroundings.
In addition to the workshops, professional development opportunities for teachers are also offered. The foundation provides information about current calls for applications, dates, free workshops, and professional development opportunities in their newsletter.
The free guide and additional teaching materials can be found at www.designwissen.net.
The project is funded by the Karl Schlecht Foundation, the German Postcode Lottery, and the Polytechnische Gesellschaft Foundation.
