The aim of Eat Art projects and performances is to design, transform and explain food in an artistic way. Food images and landscapes are created using ‘edible’ and “inedible” materials.
Through food, I perceive culture and cultural identity. My mental maps playfully develop into landscapes and series of individual foods. This method gives me the freedom to reinvent food in a new context, to experience its meaning and to play with its aesthetic possibilities. New series are created with regional producers and on site, from which I create an overall project of ‘democratic food appropriation’. It is about food that is available to everyone, found food, food for survival, etc. The goals are exhibitions, actions, lectures.
