Along everyday activities and locations in Wiesbaden, residents are provided with information about circular economy offerings: when purchasing a product, addresses of local providers for maintenance, repair, and reuse are included.

Items that would otherwise end up at the recycling center find their way to the second-hand store “Almost New” or the Repair Café Dotzheim. Read books are placed in exchange boxes instead of being thrown away. In addition to these local measures, a central digital platform and a city map make the offers easier to find.

The project enables residents to use their items longer and preserve their value—saving both resources and money. At the same time, it strengthens Wiesbaden actors in the circular economy and connects them into a visible, effective ecosystem that generates new customers, revenue, and product donations. The city itself also benefits: waste is reduced, local economic sectors and material cycles are promoted, and residents are actively involved in Wiesbaden’s sustainable transformation.
