Chorkette
Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain
In the summer of 2026, a lively connection will be created between the diverse choir voices of the region. The Offenbach district and the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain are inviting all choirs in the region to take part in a special musical networking project.
A choir is more than just singing together – it is a space in which social interaction can be experienced in a special way. When people with different voices come together, a process begins that requires patience, mutual listening, and trust. Individual voice groups gradually merge into a single ensemble. Supposed dissonances blend into a harmonious whole when each voice finds its place.
The project creates new encounters between choirs that have not yet made music together and is the prelude to further musical partnerships. From June 15 to 28, 2026, concerts, public rehearsals, and other formats will take place in a cross-city collaboration. Choirs will offer insights into their working methods during open rehearsals and will have the opportunity to recruit new members. Concerts with changing constellations will give rise to new, larger choir communities in which music connects people across community boundaries.
A new shared space will be created that strengthens the regional choir landscape and facilitates encounters – a place where artistic exchange and social interaction can be experienced through music.
