As part of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026, the Museum Angewandte Kunst presents a special exhibition marking the 25th anniversary of Messe Frankfurt’s Talents programme. Titled “Ambiente: 25 Years of Talents – Local Perspectives”, the exhibition features ten former local Talents, each presenting one selected product or product series that reflects their individual design development:

• Atelier Betty Montarou

• Anja Dienstbir

• Astrid Spork Schmuckdesign

• Designstudio speziell® Fleckenstein Pohlmann GbR

• Julia Huisken

• LEISE / Integrated Design Studio & Kollektion, Knut Völzke

• Martin Hirth

• Möbeldesign Jonas Nitsch

• Studio Jonathan Radetz

• Studio Kai Linke

The exhibits are accompanied by personal statements in which the designers share their perspectives on the guiding theme “Design for Democracy – Atmosphere for a Better Life”. The exhibition connects the origins of the Talents programme with current positions by former participants and highlights how design can address and help shape social issues. The opening on 1 September 2026 at 06:00 pm will include talks with two to three participating Talents.

Messe Frankfurt is the initiator of the exhibition and presents the 25th anniversary of the Talents programme as part of Ambiente. The Museum Angewandte Kunst serves as the exhibition venue and partner within the framework of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026.
