A conversation with the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 crew

Every two years, the Canadian World Design Organization awards the title of World Design Capital to a city or region. For 2026, Frankfurt RheinMain has received this honour! We're exploring a key question: What can design achieve – for society, for how we live together, for democracy? Our programme for 2026 aims to offer many different responses through a wide range of projects.

But we also want to hear your views. Is design just about making things a bit nicer? Or does it actually make a difference in our lives?
