Wettbewerb: Hessen Design Competition 2026

Since 2016, the Hessen Design Competition has been celebrating outstanding design and supporting emerging designers in developing and realising their forward-thinking concepts.

Award winners receive a prize package comprising a financial award and professional consultancy. A defining feature of the HDC is its tailored mentoring programme for winners—this transfer of knowledge establishes the foundation for a successful career in design.

The competition is free to enter, ensuring equal opportunities for all participants. The prize package also facilitates the further development of design concepts, primarily alongside Hesse-based companies, transforming creative ideas into market-ready innovations. In collaboration with various media partners, the competition is promoted through press releases and publications.

The ultimate goal of the competition is to champion young newcomers from Hesse, elevate the visibility of the regional design culture, and boost the competitiveness of the Hessian design sector within regional markets.
