WDC Hub Opening

On Saturday, 24 January 2026, the time has finally come: starting at 10:00, we will open our WDC Hub at the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt. The WDC Hub will be the central meeting point of World Design Capital 2026 – a place where you can come together, get information, and get involved throughout the entire year.

Designed by studio formagora, the WDC Hub offers space for your questions, exchange, workshops, and encounters. For the opening, you can look forward to a diverse programme: talks, an international live broadcast as part of the 24h conference re_Design Democracies by Civic City, a workshop on the installation Collective Paper Aesthetics by Noa Haim, guided exhibition tours, and a small winter reception.

In 2026, the WDC Hub will become a lively meeting place for everyone who is curious and eager to help shape the future of the region.

Anyone who feels like it is welcome to join us afterwards for the party at TOKONOMA: On 24 January from 23:00, the Frankfurt club opens its spacious venue to celebrate the launch of WDC 2026 with us. Electronic sounds from several DJs, along with drinks and snacks, await all guests. Entry is free for those who arrive before midnight.
