What can “design”—and in this case, specifically “urban design”—really accomplish?

The following participants will discuss this fascinating topic, with the Wiesbaden Architecture Center (WAZ) moderating the discussion: a student from the Department of Interior Design and a design professor from the Academy of Fashion and Design (Fresenius University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaden), a renowned communication designer from Wiesbaden (Cicero Agency), a member of the artist collective YRD. Works from Offenbach, and an experienced architect and urban planner specializing in architectural communication—with the aim of critically examining the very concept of “design” itself.

With audience participation, we will explore questions such as: “What might the city of the future look like?” and “What answers can design provide on the topic of sustainability?”
